In partnership with Auberge, resorts Fashionkind opened their first retail space, championing locally sourced clothing and artisan wares.
FASHIONKIND BOUTIQUE, PUNTA DE MITA
We wanted to create a gathering space that felt welcoming and served as a destination for anyone visiting the area. Throughout the store, we aimed to provoke a sense of discovery by including subtle QR codes that take the shopper to a digital editorial, telling the story behind each item with details of where each item was created, who created it, and what materials were used. The furniture in the store was sourced locally and created by artisans ethically.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
The chandelier, a statement piece, was built in a north-Central Mexico workshop by a group of female artisans and handcrafted from raw cotton and textiles that would have otherwise gone to waste—a process that took 21 days to complete. Directly under the chandelier is a large center table, which was crafted by a group of three artisans outside of Tulum. The base is solid jabin and cedar wood sourced locally from the Yucatán region, certified by the National Forestry Commission of Mexico.
